Account Deletion Policy
A 30-day, reversible grace period — log back in any time to cancel, or let it complete for a permanent, automatic deletion.
Last updated: August 2026
How to request deletion
Sign in and open your Profile page, then use “Delete my account” in the Danger zone. If you can't sign in, or would rather have us handle it, email us from the Contact page and we'll start the process on your behalf — the outcome is identical either way.
What happens immediately
The moment a deletion request is made, three things happen right away: every event you own is archived (guest upload links stop working and it disappears from dashboards), every photo in those events is hidden, and any active subscription is cancelled immediately with Stripe — you will not be billed again.
The 30-day window — reversible by design
Your account is not deleted immediately. For up to 30 days it sits in a recoverable state, similar to how Facebook and other major platforms handle account deletion: log back in any time during this window and you'll be offered the option to restore your account. Doing so un-archives your events and un-hides your photos exactly as they were — anything you had already archived or hidden yourself beforehand is left alone. We also send a reminder email a week before the window closes, in case you've changed your mind.
What happens after 30 days
If you don't log back in within 30 days, deletion becomes permanent and automatic: all photo files are removed from storage, all event and account records are deleted from our database, and your account cannot be recovered after this point. You'll receive a confirmation email once it's done.
Signing up again
Once permanent deletion has completed, your email address is no longer tied to any account, and you're free to create a brand-new Quick Pic QR account with it whenever you like. It will be a fresh account — nothing from the deleted account carries over.
Questions and legal requests
For anything not covered here — including requests to delete specific photos or events without deleting your whole account, or to invoke a GDPR/CCPA erasure right directly — reach out via our Contact page. See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle data while your account is active.
